Prices seem very good, does anyone have any experience of Mountain warehouse? Looking to kit out kids aged 3 and 6 but want a reasonable balance between quality and price. Many thanks for any views.

I've often bought stuff from there - usually in their sale. Always been fine, quality/value-wise. Bear in mind that, at those ages, they'll grow out of most of what you buy in a short space of time, so I would say that as long as anything you buy is sufficiently good quality to keep them warm, reasonable price is more important.

I don't think the quality is great. I bought a coat in August (the sort which has a fleece inside) and I really wasn't impressed. It looks cheap, even though it wasn't. The stitching is all over the place and there's a lot of stray/unfinished threads.

(they use the same brands for the adult clothes as well as the childrens, hence why I've answered your post)

The children's coats are great, really well made and warm.

DD and DS have their winter coats for school and have seen a lot of waer..they are warm and easy to wash and lasting well.
There are usually good bargains at retail outlet centres too.

I am practically on first name terms with the manager of my local mountain warehouse! I love them, I buy things for dh, ds and myself from there and love it all.
