Which companies/chalets are good for older kids (i.e. 12 and 9 yrs old)? With meals, but not 'childcare'?

We like being in chalets with other families, and it works best if the kids find friends the same age as them.
It's good if there is a group they can ski with for part of the day, but we don't need 'childcare' (and maybe not kids' high tea' either).

Over the years we've done loads of Esprit etc but it really wouldn't suit us to be in a chalet with lots of babies/toddlers now wink.

Just wondered if there are ant companies that let you find out who has already booked (and what ages/gender) or if there are special companies for pre-teens & teen age group?

Or, does anyone have boys age 9 & 12, and where/when are YOU going?? grin

Have a look at Ski Dazzle in la tania - if you email Sally Ann (who runs it )I'm sure she could give you a steer, she's very helpful and friendly. They have 4 chalets all in La Tania (which is a nice resort for families and easy to access the wider ski area, even if your not a skier)
Google ski-dazzle la tania and you should be able to get contact details sorry on phone so difficult to do link .

I can't help but watching with interest, we have 13 and 9 year olds and a 2 year old. We always used to go with cousins but they've discovered the joys of America skiing now and we can't face it with a toddler. We usually self cater now though as cheaper, going to Vaujany in feb half term!

Mine are 9 and 11, we are going with esprit again. They HATE childcare, but like hanging about with the cool reps, going bowling in the evening and generally playing wii whenever they can.

Powder Byrne do different activities aimed at the different age groups. I was just looking at their online brochure.
