penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

Seeing as it's new smiley month...

(25 Posts)
I think it's high time we had a smiley with a halo for use when someone wants to be sanctimonious/ironic/smug.
I always thing there should be a cats bum smiley. For those dissaproving moments when MNers are shocked judgy at the general world around them.

I am happy to think that tech is a stud muffin.

I see nothing wrong with a bit of tech perving. I am sitting at the pc, looking out at a grey, wet scottish morning, and I've got a lot of cleaning and cooking to do, because dh is bringing a colleague home for supper tonight - so I deserve a bit of something fun! blush

And re. the studmuffinliness of tech, I trust your judgement Norma!

I can't remember which tech it was. Might have been the original Tech. I would find the thread, but I can't be arsed (and we would probably find that I was the only one calling him a stud muffin blush)

OH ther are seasonal variations on the usual smilies:- Easter (bunny ears), Christmas (santa hats), red nose day (guess what)

But they are just variations on the usual smilies, not a completely new one
There have been scary halloween smilies Norma. Now departed.

Norma - are there any pictures to show the studmuffinliness of Tech? wink

Perhaps it's a multi purpose emoticon, bonfire - which just goes to show how clever MumsnetHQ and Big Tech are! [crawly emoticon, anyone??] grin

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
