New Topic Idea: Recommend tradespersons/services

Having recently been looking for a kitchen and now a plumber, I thought it would be really useful to have a topic dedicated to recommendations for tradespersons (very pc) and service related companies i.e. kitchen/bedrooms. Dloesn't really fit entirely with products and clogs up other subjects. Any one else find this useful?

Yes, trying to get good tradesmen in my area is an absolute nightmare. Brilliant idea Galaxy, so glad Justine & co have taken it on board.

My DH is a plumber. I would, of course, recommend him. Would this be appropriate on this thread, though, or on the small ads one? How would it work? Thanks.

In answer to a couple of questions that have come up here: The idea of this topic is that it's for genuine recommendations for tradespeople you've used and been pleased with. If you want to advertise your own or family business then should used classified section at: small business ads

It should be ok to post contact details on boards - we can't imagine any tradesperson would object because it's free advertising - but if you think they might, then use CAT.
