Is every MN user being sent one?

If this email is intended for new members (particularly those who joined via the App and have the now dreaded user######### default nickname) then Zombie thinks you need to be a bit stronger on asking them to change their nickname.

Oh, I thought we were all getting a personal welcome from Zombie and I was about to complain that I hadn't got one

Maryz, Zombie thought she'd been here for 5 years or so but then this e-mail arrived a couple of days ago and she started to wonder.

It starts by saying: We're just checking in to welcome you to Mumsnet and see how you're getting on. It then goes on to mention the Talk boards, MN Local, Reviews, etc. The last line is: .. and if you haven't changed your given Username yet please do feel free to over here.

Maybe HQ are trying to tell Zombie something.

Maybe they are preparing for the apocalypse. It doesn't hurt to have some zombies on their side.

I think their 'length of membership' counter has gone into reverse.

Zombie maybe HQ feel that you have not been sufficiently welcomed. Are your feet only 99% under the table?

I got one from MNHQ yesterday saying "we'd just like to double-check that you're a human being before we go any further."

Lweji, Zombie has always sworn to protect MN in the event of the apocalypse.
