dd doing well in course -predicted an A
except she fucked up oral and got a D, she said it was a combination of nerves (familiar problem for dd) and inability to think what to say when asked what she thought of Jordan and Peter
teachers were gobsmacked and asked for it to be remarked
came back unchanged
one teacher says retake ,one says not to
predicted grade now a B
this is fucking up her choice of universities
anyone any advice
is there a way to calm the performance nerves

Am now a French teacher and there are so many great students who just suffer with nerves. Would say just to get as much speaking practice as possible - I tutored a girl last year whose speaking was pulling down her grade and just that extra practice raised her grade from a D to an A.
