Audit Office wants parents' views about school performance

The National Audit Office wants to hear parents' views about "how school oversight and intervention systems impact on parents and pupils".

Parents can access the survey below. It takes about 15-20 mins to complete. The consultation finishes on on 20 April 2014.

The NAO won't be able to identify parents who complete the survey but the results will be summarised in its report for Parliament.

It's a chance for you to say what you think.

Fabulous. But how do you stop it being bombarded by respondents who are actually teachers and don't like being overseen and intervened with?

Strikes me that Ofsted is the parents' friend and the (underperforming) teachers' enemy.

I couldn't do the survey because I don't have school age children and I answered the first question honestly. That meant I could go no further.

But like all self-selected surveys the answers can be skewed depending on the type of respondents who might not even be what they claim to be (easterbonnets points this out).

Done this thanks for sharing. Lots more I'd like to say but useful to say something.

Where else has it been publicised?

It seems to assume you have one child in one school.

I abandoned the survey as I didn't want to create a chimera of two quite different schools.

Also, it's badly worded in that it doesn't make it clear which box VA schools should belong to.
