What makes you delete, block, ignore, swipe left:

Mine are (I appreciate that these are quite harsh and there are quite a few, but its my system at the moment)
Height - preferably taller than me in heels, I'm not heightist its just that last 2 relationships (amounting to 16 years) were shorter men and quite frankly I'd like a change
'hi', 'hello' etc as their opening line or
those who answer your questions but don't ask any questions
age - boys 20 years younger or men 20 years older
blurry photos
only have photos that are too far away to see their face
awkward bathroom mirror selfies
sunglasses on every photo
weird dress sense
bare chest selfies
drugged tiger photos
profiles with only 1 photo
no written profile
photos of them with girlfriends (so many of these!!)
or photos where the girlfriend has so obviously been cropped off and you can see their head resting on their shoulder
photos of them with their wife, on their wedding day (yes, really)
only photos of them in a crowd
every photo is with their DC's
too many photos of them partaking in extreme sports
saying negative stuff about OLD process and the women who use OLD
men who say I'm not on here for a pen pal, I like to meet straight away
men who ask for phone number in first few messages
men who talk sexually before you've even met them
men who text you too often and with sickly sweet messages, before they've even met you.

I don't even no my reasoning behind this lot, but over time I've developed this kind of instant dislike to the above. I'm interested to hear other peoples no-nos.

don't even know my reasoning Blush which reminds me of another one
Bad grammar, spelling and using was instead of are for example: "what was you looking for' instead of 'what are you looking for'

Wearing sunglasses and the far away ones so you can't see their face really get my goat and not putting any better ones on after you requesting them (when they are the ones that contact you first!).

Men who say "Hello gorgeous", when you haven't met.

Men who say "Hello gorgeous" after you've met.

Men who say "no drama queens"

It makes me think they've caused a lot of upset and pain.

Calling me Hun, or babe or asking how long I've been single... As in how desperate am I...

Old photos that don't look like them

Photoshopped photos that don't look like them

Want to meet someone age 18+
(I mean, what 35/40 year old woman wants to meet someone age 18. A child for fucks sake)

This rules out 90%

I agree with all yours too OP.
The wedding day pics. Cringe.

No pictures with fish.

Just to throw something else into the mix though I was very particular about grammar and spelling and very nearly didn't respond to my new DP ( thank you Match!) on that basis. It transpires that he is one of the smartest people I have ever met but English is not his first language. I am so glad I didnt pass him by just because he had poor syntax.

Bad grammar and spelling is top of the list!

Good point Colour I'll bear that in mind.

Oh and yes how could I have forgotten the fish photos?? Definitely my pet hate, vile.

FriendofBill I've seen men who have put they want to meet women between 18 and 99 .....what the hell? Why not put down, 'anything at all thank you please"
hissy totally agree with the 'gorgeous, beautiful, hun type ones'
And mince you are so right about the 'no drama queens' or 'no crazies' Hmm

I agree with PP
No fish holders
Tiger huggers
Sunglasses
No bad grammar
Wedding photos

And for me
No motorbikes.
No photos with their children, it's a dating site.
Photos taken at a nightclub/sporting event with young women wearing very little who are there because they are paid to promote a product or venue.

I don't mind the ones who say looking between 18-99, I'd rather that than the 55 year olds looking for a woman no older than 40 Hmm.

Had one today ask if I would put more pictures up. This was his first message to me. I have 2 up, of which one is a close face pic and the other a full body pic (clothed, I might add). I obliged and put a picture of a butterfly... Oddly enough I've not heard from him again!

Pet hate, is the ones who tell you they are attractive and funny, oh and the ones who insist on a picture of them with their dog/dogs.

PrizeyPrize · 24/12/2015 20:13

Oooh redlion no motorbikes, that doesn't seem to bother me so much, is that the danger behind it, or indication of a mid-life crisis?
lacoba love the butterfly comeback, how rude of him not to reply Grin

Theredlion nailed it for me. Also don't understand why men add pictures of cars/bikes etc.

Personal put off is the "look at my tattoos" pic.
Would date someone with tattoos, but don't like the pics where they're showboating them.

Ladygaggia · 24/12/2015 20:15

Oh and the football ones, emblems or photos of their hallowed grounds.

I'm in my 40s, I confess to a personal prejudice against motorbikes based on experience.
This is my opinion only and not meant to cause offence, if you like bikes then all power to you, each to their own.

Aside from the fact that they are dangerous to clarify I don't mean you are more likely to have an accident but if you do you have an accident you are more likely to be seriously hurt
They are uncomfortable and inconvenient.
You're either freezing cold, getting rained on or sweating your leathers off as soon as you stop moving.

Men my age who ride them are usually either a member of a biking club yawn
Or they're a symptom of a midlife crisis so they ride something fast and powerful and dangerous.

Then they want to stand around car parks or pub beer gardens talking about low sprung sprockets and the relative speed performance of tinkering with the flugel nuts. Or whatever.

PrizeyPrize · 24/12/2015 20:47

redlion you make a good point and I am adding motorbikes to my list Grin
I didn't really have any thoughts either way regarding bikes, except XH took up motorbiking in a big way right before he had an affair and a midlife crisis along with tattoos btw ladygaggia and you are so right - football ones too, how could have I forgotten football ones?

Yes!
All of these!

I thought I was the only one who ignored the men holding fish. Anyone who keeps maggots in their fridge is never going near me.

People called Lee.

People with pics of their car/next to a car they like but isn't theirs.

Shirtless
Cynical
Poor grammar.

No wonder I'm single.

No motorbikes.
No policemen.
No one of my age (40) who puts down that they're looking for someone 18-40.
No one who calls me 'gorgeous,' 'beautiful' etc
No one I've arrested. (Yes, it's happened. He got deleted straight away.)

It's not going very well.
