Desperate to help a friend with obese wife

.... not only obese, but addicted to over the counter drugs and now won't bath or wash her hair.
If the lady refuses to go the docs or have anymore help (lots of which has been previously given), what can the poor family do? It's tearing them apart.
I don't know all the ins and outs as I'm just a friend, but it's such a sorry situation.
Any thoughts? TIA

She sounds depressed. She needs to be talked into seeing her G.P

She needs to see her GP.

If she won't go, get him to go and speak to the GP about the options.

Also he may need to make the decision to separate.

I believe people should support their partners. However if tshe really doesn't went help and its edge ting the children and his mental well being. Separation may be the only option.

That sounds serious enough to bring her to a&e and ask for her to be refered on to an obesity clinic. They have psychologists there. Most of the treatment is psych treatment.
