Ten years ago tomorrow...

I gave birth to my beautiful daughter. 10 years! Wow.

So, today I have been feeling a little sorry for myself, silly right? I guess it's the realisation of a decade passed. Ten years ago last week my husband cheated on me during my last week of pregnancy (didn't find out until years later). 10 years ago I was so happy to be a mother to a gorgeous little girl and although there were problems in my marriage, I very much overlooked then and hoped things would get better. I was married, had one child, hoped for another. Always hoping thing would get better.

Today even though I'm divorced I'm much happier, would never wish too be with my xh again (don't even think about him from day to day) and although I didn't want my daughter to have parents who are divorced, she does and she's a beautiful happy little girl who is very caring and waits for me at the school gate every day to blow me a kiss before I drive off. I'm very lucky and I still feel super sad. And it's really unlike me.

Positive thinking from tomorrow!

Well done. I love reading happy stories where someone moved on

Definitely positive thinking for tomorrow.

The important thing is your daughter.

It seems like those ten years have gone by in the blink of an eye, doesn't it?

Whenever we take time to look back over our lives it may evoke feelings of sadness but it seems to me that, in your dd, you have so much to be thankful and proud of that what your ex did in the past can't cast a shadow over your present or your future.

Positive thinking from tomorrow, indeed - and with lots more of those blown kisses and full on smackers from your dd to look forward to, you shouldn't have a problem with that smile

Here's wishing your Aquarian a very happy birthday - this wine is for you but, if you approve, she can have little well diluted with lemonade wink

Think about what you've achieved in this 10 years though. You've gotten rid of a man who didn't respect you. You've got a beautiful and amazing dd who adores you. I am sure that there are hundreds of things you've done in the last 10 years that have enriched not only your lives but the lives of others too.

10 years is a milestone but it is a good one! Happy Birthday ginny's dd.
