Well, just to get myself shot down - I enjoyed this story line. It was like a little fantasy Archers, a post-Christmas cheer-up. Totally silly, utterly improbable, great fun.

Saw the final 'twist' coming, but enjoyed it just the same.

Oh, I loved it too. As you say, totally silly but huge fun - and I didn't see the final twist. Who'd have known old Bob Pullen had it in him.

Aww! I'm just catching up now and thought it was really quite sweet!

Can we have a quick synopsis please cos I refuse to listen to AmEx

Crikeyblimey · 20/01/2013 22:40

Oh - I missed the ending. What happened. Please tell me.

Listen again? If not massive spoiler alert

When they arrived at the ashes scattering spot, B&B landlady exclaimed 'but that's my mother's grave!'. Turned out Bob was her dad. Not sure or have already forgotten why he didn't do the decent thing. He left her 3 grand and made Joe executor of his will (Joe: 'Do executors get paid?')

It was all a bit mysterious really (no explanation of why he never married her mum), but no more mysterious than the Bridge Farm finances!
