While she helps him with his computing....
I soooo want Ruth to have mad sex in the dairy.
Had to share
Ifty and Lizzy - we said it here first.
Ruth and the old cow man did snogging, she can't have another bit on the side. Ifty and Lizzy, agreed,
Poor old Kirsty
maybe she could get back together with the Sausage King; from Brenda's perpetually exasperated tone with him lately I get the feeling he is going to be back on the market soon (tho I wouldn't wish such a thing on my worst enemy tbh).
In labour
Looking forward to angst on a stick all round, while Vicky laughs insanely about pickled onions.
Yeah Ace but Chris is going to be the page 3 pin up in Borchester Life he may well get seduced by some wealthy Jilly Cooper type in jodphurs who takes a fancy to his anvil
Alice is working in some nearby heaving metropolis such as Borchester. It's a junior level engineering job designing widgets and it seems to be heading towards the 'I could be doing something so much more exciting but I'm tied to Chris the Blacksmith' angst... There were a couple of references to her friends living the high life in well paid, exciting jobs in Singapore etc.
Can someone tell me about Alice's job cos I missed that bit. Is it relevent to her MEng or is it a any-job-in-a-recession thing. Where is the job based? When did she get it - she seems to have got disillusioned with it very quickly.
Yes, what IS up with Mike? And I agree about Ifty and Elizabeth, but it will be angst on a stick.
Matt is being super sweet to Lilian at the moment. Does he know something?
hearmyroar -
Oh I imagine we will have to listen to weeks and weeks of Lizzie being tormented by guilt and then one of the twins will throw a wobbly and the other will be fine, and david will go all weird about it, and generally angst will spread across the land... <sighs at the inevitably of it aall>
Yes Rob and R4 I thought when the ECMCM was saying how lovely and quiet Canada was that him and his ilk do their best to upset the tranquillity of any pleasant countryside.
I'm thinking of around here in Fr. (we live here 50% of the time) where they erect disgusting concrete tower wheat dryers/storers without a thought for the environment and yet try their hardest to pretend they're 'green'.
Ruth didn't actually shag anyone. She had an assignation with Sam the cowman but pulled out at the last minute (so to speak
)
I like Ron/Rob's monniker of Evil Capitalist MegaCowMan. He shall henceforth be known as ECMCM. Is that nearly E=MCsquared?
Who did Ruth shag in the dairy before?
I also thought Lizzie and Ifty..... or maybe Nigel is still very much there in the background? No way will it be Ruth and Ed
and yes - we are all v posh in Hampshire
He's from Hampshire I think he said, everyone in Hampshire is super posh don't you know.
Yes, I realised as I listened tonight. Evil capitalist MegaCowMan (with wife in background).
We were being rude.
For 'cowman' read 'international, high-flying Manager of BL's MegaDairy'
I was only half listening, was that the new cowman? I must have missed a few, I didn't know there was a new cowman and he didn't sound like one.
Agree ifty and lizzy
Maybe I'm being unfair on CowMan (so boring I can't remember his name) and we will warm to him but he seemed very deadpan and monotone. I couldn't help thinking that he sounded too much like Paul - they could have given him a Canadian twang to differentiate things.
Talking of Paul, didn't he used to be married, now divorced, IIRC.
BTW R4 I quite fancy Paul
He's a bit of a twit, wanting what he can't have, maybe deliberately (some men like secret double lives ) DF was like that
. I don't remember if he's been married or IS married. Anyone?
He was just being neighbourly choccy "Oh the cowman and the vicar's wife must be friends!!"
Nah as you said R4 he doesn't seem very sparky. Any way Usha's a loyal wife. We haven't heard about or from Amy for a while do we reckon she's been put in the soap big baby cupboard?
Don't get too excited pp. The scriptwriters may have tried to give him an interesting back-story but he comes across the airwaves as even more boring than Paul.
Bet you didn't think that was possible! arf
