.. Just that basically. It's a bargainous price, comes with maxi cosi adaptors (thus may fit a maxi cosi carrycot too unofficially) has a good basket, decent canopy, 8kg or so, small fold, 53cm wide (same as a bugaboo bee) and I believe it to be a rebranded valco. Valco have good rep for quality in aus and US.

I have no excuse for one currently.. but come on.. someone around here must have??!

Please Grin

Have you not bought one yet?
Parties practically convinced me to buy one last night because of the reputation of Valco and the Zumi does appear to be pretty much a copy. I wonder who sells them in a RL shop so we can have a look?

Suziwong96 · 10/06/2014 21:22

Hi!!

I know this is a really old thread but any updates? lol! I was thinking of getting this pushchair for holidays!

Ihateparties · 10/06/2014 22:15

I ended up buying one, what specifically would you like to know?

My biggest concern is the hood/canopy! Does it come quite far down for shade? I was originally thinking of buying the Mamas and papas Armadillo or mini jogger but the price of this is very attractive. Its really for a 2nd buggy for keeping at my mums and for holidays. Thanks

Ihateparties · 11/06/2014 10:38

I'll try and get a pic on later today. I can't remember how low the hood comes, dd2 is having a no buggy phase currently (possibly permanently) so it's not to hand.

Suzi I just bought one (under the valco brand though). Hopefully I'll get it Friday :)

The hood is shown pretty clearly here I think here

Hi, I'm interested in this too. Could you let me know the handle height and wheel size. How does it handle compared to the bjcmgt? Looking for a buggy suitable for dog walking and going to the beach. Thanks

Thanks Everyone!

Just watched video! Great! Is this very similar? Same Brake? Were you able to buy a carry strap?

nwilson12 · 11/06/2014 16:41

Great video, is valco sold in the UK? I have found one website which sells valco snap in silver but no idea if it is a legit site www.babystrollerstore.co.uk/valco-snap-single-stroller-silver-p-663.html

Prefer this colour to the red kite.

Suziwong96 · 11/06/2014 17:02

looks like dodgy site to me! Wary of sites that take western union and website was created in 2014. You can get valco on ebay but its about £180
The silver is nice too!

nwilson12 · 11/06/2014 17:31

Yes that's what I thought too. Will just stick with red kite as only looking for a second buggy. Although would still like to know wheel size and handle height as I'm short.

Ihateparties · 11/06/2014 17:36

No valco aren't in the uk. The zumi is definitely a snap 3 wheeler, I followed a genuine snap round a shop a few weeks ago checking off features! I also know because the valco wheels fit on the zumi (this is all very unofficial obviously).

I only got the sports wheels into the uk by having them shipped to a friend in the us who forwarded them on to me. The red kite only has the ordinary Eva wheels. Which actually are fine on grass, I took mine to the coxwold wildlife park the week I got it and that pretty much sealed the deal for me to make it my one and only pushchair. The air tyres were a bonus extra.

I'll check the wheel size and handle height after the dcs are in bed tonight, take a couple of pics if anyone wants anything in particular.

Thanks, that would be great. How do you find the hood? Just come across a review that says it's not very good www.bestbuggy.co.uk/2013/10/red-kite-push-me-zumi-review-by-rachael/

Ihateparties · 11/06/2014 18:58

It's big but strangely let's a lot of light through... I have taken a couple of pics but I don't know how well they will illustrate that. Dd2 is 2y3m, 92cm, it covers her fine but doesn't block light like a thicker black hood would do iyswim.

The wheels are 25cm rear and 20cm front. The bottom of the handle is 98.5, the top is 102... So it's basically 1m.

I've had a lot of pushchairs, for a £100 you get a lot of things, it's not perfection, depends what you're looking for really. It's certainly not directly comparable to a city mini (I haven't had an armadillo), it's cheaper feeling, which comes with the territory really.

Side view of the hood..

Thanks for those and for the measurements, it looks really spacious considering its small dimensions. I've had loads of buggy's too and the perfect one doesn't exist so I've decided I need 2!

Suziwong96 · 11/06/2014 21:39

Thanks Everyone for all the info! I think I will order it!!

nwilson12 · 15/06/2014 08:16

Hope you don't mind, I have another query. Is the harness adjustable? I need to be able to use it with a 7 month old and toddler at different times. Also i know the hood lets in light but do you think it offers enough sun protection or would it need something over it on a really sunny day? Got the chance of a new jogger mini GT for £200 so trying to decide if it's worth double the money. Thanks a lot

If you don't mind it being bigger when open, quite a lot bigger then the gt is easily twice the quality and better to push too. I didn't like how big it was but I am irrational about size. Grin

The zumi has a fixed harness with a a couple of bits of strap sewn on lower down, so for a smaller child you thread the shoulder strap through that to make them lower. So there's two positions really I suppose but it's not the type you thread through slots in the back of the seat.
