we are redoing an edwardian house toostyle is plainer than Victorianwe are reyling on google an ebay for ideasas it is for sale we have to be mindful that some period stuff is very unsexy now (such as ceiling height dark wood fireplace/mantel)and with people living in the house it is a bit like shovelling snow in a blizzard
There's a book, 'The Edwardian House Explained' which is pretty good. c20 fireplacess have good reproduction tile fireplaces. Ebay is always your friend.
Not sure where you are based but Lassco is great. Lots of great salvage stuff. Check out their website.
Can anyone suggest any books / websites where I can get ideas? Or anywhere to get fireplaces, furniture, replacement windows, etc, etc? The house we are looking at doesn't have any restrictions but we want to redecorate sympathetically.
