For a while now, dd is just down right lazy. This morning I made her something to eat and never produced a drink for her. The moaning started after I said, get your own!

If you ask her to get her own cereal then she manages to spill the lot over the kitchen.

Asked her to get a book from the library from my room. It starts banging, so I go to investigate. The child has managed to send everything bar my TV flying, making a mess.

I have another 5.5 weeks with her at home and no holiday to look forward to. I may end up loosing it big style.

Eer she's behaving like a 12 year old!! Sorry but kids of this age are coming into the adolescent phase when they are trying to separate out from their parents (though not consciously of course) and then there is the hormone surges that are taking place. It is a frustrating phase and you may be wondering where you lovely little girl went, but it does pass (though the phase varies in terms of duration)

Parents of teens and pre teens need a big ego cus they will often (without realising it) look at you as if you crawled out from under a stone. Doesn't mean she should get away with everything though. You have a right to expect reasonable behaviour but chooses your battles (don't sweat the small stuff)

Been there, done it, got the T shirt!
