Hi, just wanted to get some opinions on my situation,...i used the morning after pill and now found out im pregnant, iv been bleeding this morning but not loads,...just watery blood and slight period pains,..(sorry it tmi) Just wondering as i know taking MAP can cause ectopic preg. Either that or im worrying about miscarrage??? Someone mentioned that i may have a period as normal where my body cycle is messed up,...im only about a month gone and have my doctors app for tomorrow,...any advise?

Prettyfull - give your GP a ring this morning - don't wait until tomorrow. it could be something or nothing, but if I were you I'd want to been seen just in case.

I would take some painkillers and try to rest.
Don't feel guilty because MAP doesnt actually cause eptotic pregnancies, it just means eptopic pregnancies are the ones that are most likely to survive the drug, as it works by not letting ovums attatch to the usual womb lining.
But after not being able to attach to womb lining, ovum cant go back up to the fallopian tubes to attatch IYSWIM! lol
If it's eptopic it would have been that way anyway.

My ovum attached to normal womb lining despite me taking MAP! I had bleeding at 8 weeks from some heameringing but now I'm 35 weeks pregnant!
So it may still be okay.

I had spotting at exactly the same stage this pregnancy which lasted several weeks and everything is fine so far (almost 10wks now). Do you have a local EPU? You may be able to self-refer or the GP might have to refer you - bleeding is an indication for referral. If you are only 4 wks it's too early for a scan, but they can take blood tests over several days to see if your HCG levels are rising normally, and monitor you to check if it's ectopic. There'll be a lot of 'wait and see' I'm afraid, but it's best to be under the care of the EPU so it can be managed properly. Good luck.

Unforuntetly, after bloods were taken the levels were only slightly lower, so they wernt sure if i was miscarring or not as the preg test still came up as positive,...they asked me to go back this morning for more bloods to be taken and the levels have gone alot lower so def a miscarriage
Thanks for advise everyone....
