Kingston Hospital ladies - 20wk scan/midwife question

I know lots of you ladies are experienced in the ways of Kingston Hospital so thought I'd just run something by you...

I have my 20 week/anomaly scan next week and was wondering if I'd get to see a midwife after the scan, or if it's just the sonographer and then off we go?

If there are any 'issues' at the scan - do they talk them through there and then?

Also, I was under the impression that urine samples were taken every visit but when I went at 12wks, they didn't request one, so I haven't had one since 8wks - is this right?

Hi Flirty, I had my 22 week scan there a couple of weeks ago and only saw the sonographer who answered all my questions about the scan but wouldn't answer a couple I had about baby movement etc, they are loathed to give an opinion I think as they are not midwives. When we left we were given our notes to hang on to and then booked in for a 28 week midwife appointment... I think we were there all of 20mins!!

It is quite a thorough scan though so you do get to see quite a bit!

good luck!
