Travel system recommendations

I've drove myself a bit mad the past few days looking at travel systems and still don't feel any further forward. I like the look of the silver cross pioneer/wayfarer but not sure if it would be suitable for me. I need something lightweight that's easy to fold, mainly city use with walks here and there, don't like the ones with only 3 wheels. I looked at the mamas and papas ocarro and whilst I like the carry cot style I don't like the pushchair stage, the seat almost looks too small for the base? Any suggestions?

I had a silver cross and it was brilliant as it had a huge basket underneath! Great for shoving shopping under and the changing bag. Relatively easy to fold down, but folded flat so took up space in the boot of the car.

If you want lightweight and easy to fold and mainly for city use, have you considered just going for one of the compact options that has a newborn attachment and getting a carseat separately? If you're not driving tons then I imagine the ability to put carseat on the stroller won't be used that much?

We have the Ergobaby Metro City Stroller - used the newborn attachment and just graduated to sitting up, very happy with both. It's lightweight and foldable, including the bassinet (not suitable though if you wanted to remove bassinet for naps in the house at it's soft sided). We bought a carseat separately and if we wanted to do a country walk for which the buggy wasn't suitable we'd use the baby carrier instead.

I would say the only downside compared to larger travel systems is the small basket underneath. But that's basically a trade-off for how compact it is.

We've gone with the silver cross pioneer because I have fibromyalgia and needed something light enough that I could lift it into the car etc but heavy enough that I could use it as a walking aid instead of my crutch. The fold on it as well worked really well for me minimising bending over, but it is definitely a two handed folding mechanism!

If lightest weight was my priority, I'd go with something like the Silver Cross Clic - it's not a travel system but a stroller, but does lie flat for from birth and is super light. Also a one handed fold!

I had a Bugaboo Bee. Lightweight, easy to fold and had height adjustable handles which was great for DH. I got the newborn insert rather than the bassinet as it folds down with it and is very snug. Loved it! Turned into a great toddler pushchair too.

We just purchased the ickle bubba V3 travel system from Argos although it had £100 off when we got it and I think it's back up to £500 now but they often have reductions if you go directly to their website. I've attached a link so you can have a look

I have an ocarro which I love everything about except that it is quite heavy as the pushchair, not to push but for lifting. You can separate the base and seat to put away if too heavy to lift but that does sort of defeat the point of an easy all in one fold.

I second the Bugaboo Bee! Absolutely love it, perfect for city living. I also have a Bugaboo Cameleon which I love but the Bee is is much more practical for folding/unfolding, public transport, etc.
Looking at the Yoyo2 now for next baby.
I'm a bit of a pramaholic LOL!
