'what do you think you're having?' questions - driving me maaadddd!!!

Just wondered if anyone else is being driven mad by people asking 'what do you think you're having? a boy or a girl?', 'are you carrying differently? do you think that's cos it's a boy?' , 'did you carry the same with dd1?' etc etc

Even when I say...'i've no idea, really got no instincts about it at all' they say 'yeah, but what's your gut instinct?'

It's driving me mad, because I have a girl already and obviously would be v happy to have a boy but I am trying desperately to not get my hopes up or convince myself one way or another (am scared i will be dissapointed if it's another girl, or that everyone will think I am). At the moment, am totally convinced that there will be something wrong with baby and am now just desperate to get 'it' out and see if it's ok.

Realise these people are all just taking an interest but really is driving me mad and am having to take deep breaths before I answer people now - has been going for 38 bloody weeks!!

just wanted a rant really!

I hate the assumption that I'm hoping for a ds-have already 2 ds'. Get the feeling everyone will be disapointed if it turns out to be a girl.

DH used to say, well, we;re hoping for a baby, but a puppy would be nice too! LOL

it is just one of those conversational things that happens when you are pregnant

then , after you have your babies, you have the

'one of each, how lovely, you don;t need to have any more'

or

'two boys / girls.., will you try again for a girl /boy'

etc..........

try to relax , your baby is fine...and wheter boy or girl, will be loved, adored and cuddled......

Why does everyone assume that we care about the sex one way or the other?

I'd LOVE a boy-but don't mind if it's this time or next. Just hate the feeling that I and the litle girl that I think this will be will be letting everyone down.

I don't really mind people asking just because I'm not one to talk about being pregnant all the time. If someone asks me about the baby and about the pregnancy it makes me feel comfortable to rant or gush as much as I want to.

I haven't found out and my bug bear is people asking incredulously 'But WHY WOULDN't you find out?? It is so much easier, you can plan, pick a name blah blah blah..' and if I say 'Well we really want a surprise' they always get this knowing look and say 'I bet you'll find out next time round...' ARGHHHHH!! It's personal choice??????

Having said that, my friend is a week behind me and knows she is having a boy and people keep saying to her 'Oh wy did you find out, it takes the surprise element away...'

IMO, people are a pain in the arse!! (Or maybe us pregnant ladies are just V intolerant )

YOu knowtoug I did find out with my first at 23weeks and you know what? I was suprised. Its a suprise whenever you find out. Also I could ave pushed out a klingon and still be happy. It won't matter at thebirth as much as you think it will. But those are just my thoughts.
