I'm concerned as I've just passed urine and when I wiped myself there where some very light red blood? Please help. Do you know if this is normal? I have called the early pregnancy unit which is closed but I left them a message. :(

Hi Evonne, I had a bleed at 7 weeks (no pain) and everything was fine with scans after. Have you any cramping?

For peace of mind, perhaps do get checked out.
I hope that everything is ok for you.

Bleeding in early pregnancy is very very common. I had brown bleeding at 6 weeks which went on and on for about 10 days and then again at 10 weeks for a few days. It turned out to be nothing.

It would be a good idea to get checked out and have your mind put at rest. The most likely outcome is that it will be just one of those things.

Hope that helps a little.

I've had brown & pale red bleeds, now 12w6, had my scan Monday & all was great...had a little brown bleed after. I think it must be sensitivity. Deffo get it checked out if you get pain tho x

I had the same thing last weekend I rang epu 1st thing Monday morning they had me in for a scan which showed a healthy baby 10+1. They couldn't explain the bleed but said its common and can last up to a week. Ifyou've got no pain I wouldn't worry too much but ring epu in the morning to get checked out. Keep us updated x

Thank you so much girls. You have made me feel so much better. I will call the EPU in the morning. I have had no cramping blankforenames. I'll probably sleep better now. I have sent a text to my boss telling him the circumstances and that, I won't be back I felt concerned I never heard back but I mustn't worry about that! I will keep you updated. THANK YOU! X

I had brown bleeding at 8 weeks, (TMI) I sweeped my cervix to see what was happening and the blood was reddish brown and more of it closer to the cervix. Went to EPU 3 days later, scan was fine and I'm 11weeks today :).

I hope all is well for you.

Evonnemarie · 11/08/2014 16:49

Thank guys. Spoke to EPU and they said to monitor it. If it goes onto Thursday I've to get a scan. The blood has become more brown than red and it's very light. I had nothing for a few hours and have just had what looks like a clot have any of you experienced a clot. I was feeling confident all was well as doc said brown blood is old blood but now a brown clot? X

Hi. I had bleeding at 11 weeks. It was quite heavy - sanitary towel needed- lasted about 3/4 hours. Ended up in A&E who did urine dip and gave antibiotics plus arranged an EPU appt. Later on passed a 2 inch clot that was long and stringy - totally convinced it was all over - even spent the evening before the scan discussing what I could eat and drink again - wine and carbonara!. EPU scanned me following day and all was fine with bean - measuring exactly on dates. No explanation for the bleeding. I was still petrified but did get to go back for a 12 week scan as I was having NT done. I had previously had an early loss which was different - brown spotting from 5 weeks, red blood and loss at 6 1/2 weeks. Fingers crossed for you.

FTMK · 11/08/2014 17:00

Sorry - and it was bright red blood.

Evonnemarie · 11/08/2014 18:12

FTMK sets my mind at rest...:) I'm sorry for your loss but relieved all is well with you now x

If it's light I wouldn't really worry about it. What caused mine was because I didn't follow the bed-rest thing my doc told me, after I too it easy it was fine and now I'm a mom to a healthy baby girl :) I hope you and your baby are fine.

I'm 6 weeks and got a scan at 3pm but bleeding a little and I did a clear blue digital a week last Sunday and it said 1-2, did one yesterday eve as bleeding started (watery red sorry tmi) and one at 7am this morning and they both said 1-2 still.
I'm really worried as this is the second little bleed and Monday I got meds for a uti cause I had a little blood in my urine and a really bad pain on my left side which is still here, no other uti symptoms?
This is my third pregnancy and I am worrying like mad anyone else been in the same position?
I have two older boys one was a smooth pregnancy and the youngest kept me on my toes x

Evonnemarie · 14/08/2014 09:20

The pain started yesterday midday and as a result I had an internal scan. Devastated to find out its a miscarriage........:,,(
The physical pain has gone thank you god. I've took to mums net as I think it helps to know others are going through the same and I thank all of them who have messaged me as you are helping me heal! I am currently resting and trying to feel stronger to help me to break the news. Time is a healer indeed. I am being as kind to myself as possible lots of positive thinking and being good to my body..good food and rest.
Good luck beansmummy14 xx
