38 weeks, back pain

Several times a day for the last few days I'm getting a throbbing lower back pain that seems to be roughly equal to my heart rate. It doesn't last very long, a minute at most I'd say. Anyone have/had similar?

Does putting something warm on it help? Hot water bottle or similar? Odd that the throbbing comes and goes- if continues tomorrow might be worth a call to midwife...sorry not to be more help!

It's not really there long enough to get a hot water bottle or anything!
