Stabby fanjo

Nearly 6 weeks pregnant and I have started getting random stabby pains in my fanjo - doesn't feel like my uterus though, it's lower down and actually feels like its in my vagina rather than cervix or external! Anyone had this, and did it cause any problems/miscarriage? Thanks :)

I had this at exactly the same time! No idea what it was but now at 33 weeks I've got used to having the odd random ache and pain - know it can be scary though. As long as you aren't having and cramps or bleeding I would try not to worry too much - although appreciate it is rather uncomfy! And congratulations Thanks

I've had what I've heard called Fanny Daggers!! I don't like the term myself but it does make me smile. I'm not sure if they are anything to worry about? They are really painful though. Sorry not much help xxx

It's really common, doesn't mean anything bad - don't worry. And congratulations Grin

Yup, I get this all the time. Used to get it before I was pregnant. I sometimes find that clenching my pelvic floor muscles helps a bit, but they're really sore!

I used to call it Grans knitting Needles as it felt like I was being stabbed with one.

Ouch! I've had this on and off this pregnancy. After much Dr Googling I found its also called Vagina Lightening... But that reminds me of anal bleaching (squick!) I like Fanny Daggers best.

Do you get it when you are sitting still? I mainly just get it if I move suddenly
