Glad everything ok a senior midwife couldn't find mine at 24 weeks although baby did kick the doppler so wasn't too concerned smile

My paranoia got the best of me and i went up and got a quick scan to make sure everything was okay! Baby is fine and hiding behind the placenta! Thanks for the reassurance everyone x

Yes mine wouldn't try until after 20 week scan for exactly that reason!

TinkyPeet Sat 09-Feb-13 20:33:45

This time your placenta coul be at the front and in the way, try not to worry xx

I had my 16week check up on Friday and was told not to worry if they couldn't find it, they did find it but I can understand you being worried , I think I'd go for a private scan to reassure myself if I were you even thought you are more than likely fine .

My MW didn't even check until 22/24 weeks?? (next appt after 20 wk scan)

FoofFighter Sat 09-Feb-13 20:31:35

Our area the MW don't even try till 20 weeks apparently. I think at 16 weeks it can still be very hit or miss really. Are you feeling any movements yet smile

Bunnychan Sat 09-Feb-13 20:30:01

Don't worry: my mw said at my 16 week that they can't always find them yet x

BusyTiredAndLoveIt Sat 09-Feb-13 20:29:57

What did the mw say?
Have you got any more appointments?
Are your dates definite?

Clouise1626 Sat 09-Feb-13 20:29:15

Just that it might be too soon and theres isnt a need for a scan. I remember they heard a heartbeat at this stage with my first baby so thats why im so worried

ledkr Sat 09-Feb-13 20:27:16

Couldn't find mine either dd is now 2. What did mw say?

Clouise1626 Sat 09-Feb-13 20:23:39
