Hi all. I found out last week that Im pregnant, by my workings out Im roughly 6weeks. Not my first child- i have a 2yo. I miscaried 4years ago at 10wks then fell pregnant in April '10 and carried a healthy boy born in Jan'11. I then fell pregnant again but miscarried at 5wks in June'12. I believe it was a miscaridge but hospital said eptopic. Id already passed a clot before going to hospital so they couldnt see anything there. Anyway Im quite worried now as Im 6 wks (havent seen gp yet) and my lower stomach is quire achy. Didnt have this with my son so am worrying it may be the start of another miscarridge. Anyone else had anything similar? Thanks in advance x

If you've had no bleeding I would try not to worry, but get to the gp and let them know, they might get you an early scan because of your previous history.

Aches and twinges are pretty normal, there's a lot going on in there.

Thankyou. Im worried about going to gp as last pregnancies it was shortly after seeing gp that i miscarried. I dont want same thing to happen again.. Also if they were to book me in for an early scan at this stage would it be an internal or ecxternal scan as last time when they done the internal scan they really hurt me :( thanks again for replying x

I just wanted to say that I too am in early pregnancy and when I told my doctor I was getting cramps and twinges in my lower stomach she said there's a lot moving and stretching going on in here! But she also said if there was any bleeding or the pains got stronger to seek medical help.

Hello :) Yes, this is my first. I'm nervous as I've a few health conditions that may make things a bit complicated. But I'm trying to not get too anxious. It's so easy to worry about what might go wrong. But then I take a look around me at all the other human beings walking around and think a lot of us made it here just fine!

Thats a good way to look at it, my nervousness is all down to my history with miscarridges, really hoping all goes well this time.

I say if the pain is quite bad it's worth a trip to the drs/ hospital. Scans are normally painless and they will likely try to do an external scan first. At least you will find out quickly and stop worrying.
Hope you feel better soon
