Spent all of last night googling and reading about using nasal sprays in pregnancy. I am 26 weeks pregnant and on day 6 of an all round blinder of a cold.

At 3am, half demented with lack of sleep, I used the Sinex. Just one spray in each nostril. And then I slept for the next 4 hrs. That is more complete sleep than I have had for days.

The guilt of motherhood starts early in this house .....

Anyone else suffering a cold right now? Come moan with me.

You poor thing. I remember the same thing when I was pregnant. If it's any help I found that saline nasal spray (the sort you use for snotty babies) provided good relief from that awful sinus pain. Worth a try if you're a bit nervous about the Sinex. Hope you feel better soon.

Hi bedhog, I tried the saline and it just didn't help enough.

This is the house of woe. Ds2 and I are snuggled up on the sofa watching Alvin and the Chipmunks trying to get better. Surely that is penance enough for taking the drugs?!

I'm sure you'll be fine! I'm 10wks have horrible ms and ds has brought home a cold bug from school :(. Everytime I sneeze I either want to pee myself or throw up.

It's really very unpleasant, I'm living off paracetamol, hot drinks and Jakemans menthol sweets. I have no idea if I can have them but don't see why not.

Oh cupcake you poor thing. The thought of morning sickness right now makes me shiver. I also kept leaking when I retched. It's desperate isn't it? I hope you both feel better soon.

I used nasal spray (Superdrug one for allergies I think it was) when I had a cold around 5 weeks and didn't know I was pregnant. The subsequent two colds (am now 12 weeks.. oh joy at having a toddler who brings home every single cold in existence!) I've used saline nasal spray which doesn't work as well but at least makes it bearable and I don't have to worry.
