...once baby is out.
I am in the final stretch now and a bit fed up. But I'm keeping my spirits up by thinking of:
Runny cheese
A bloody steak
Zumba
Sex on top
Bending (unrelated to above)
Seeing my fanjo again
Wearing jeans that aren't 40% elasticated panel
It's ten years since I had a baby but your last bit about jeans in my case happened when DS was about 6 months old,
Pâté.
A bottle of wine rather than one measly glass.
30 day Shred.
Being able to get off the sofa without assistance or rolling.
No more heartburn.
Being able to lie down in the bath and get up again without fear of getting stuck.
Being able to get out the car in a normal way rather than looking like an elephant trying to be elegant
Being able to have cocktails again!
No stuffy/running nose in the mornings.
No more back pain.
Less reflux (got GERD so will always have some)
AMEN to cocktails. Bit fat fucking mojitos
Flisspaps- I was watching Obese- A Year to Save My Life on cable (I know, I KNOW, stop judging). And realised the 40 stone woman and I got off the couch using the same heave and roll maneuver.
I am very
of you all. In a nice way.
Ooh Sparkling, why? Are you TTC?
No, not at all Garlic. I had my first who is now 12 and it was all a bit of a mystery and felt I never got it quite right. Second one I felt like I was a bit better. But now I have a daydream that if I was having DC1 now I would be brilliant, and do everything right, and not be so stressy.
Sorry if that sounds daft.
Not daft at all. Hindsight is an exact science.
I'm sure you did and are doing an excellent job.
I can show you my ass grapes if you want a reminder of pg joys?
You know what-I never got piles.
Terrible heartburn and big fat ankles mind, plus thigh chafing
How much longer have you got to go Garlic? Is this your first baby?
I'm looking forward to not spending several hours a day trying to wipe my bum properly
Sleeping on my stomach
Red wine
(eventually) proper exercise/weight loss
Wearing normal jeans
Not having to pee several times a night
Being able to sleep comfortably
Brie
Pâté
Margaritas!
and champagne. Being able to go up and down stairs on my feet (currently have to do on my bum, heave, thud, heave, thud, due to PGP) be able to sleep for more than 2.5 hours without having to get up for a teaspoon of wee, to be able to go for a walk (ahh...a walk) though realise with PGP this may be up to 3 months after baby's arrival! Many more mobility related things will be joyous too, I'm sure!
Love the lists so far. garlic I'm confused on 'runny cheese' though, what runny cheese are you supposed to avoid?
I am pleased to say that I am going to indulge in goats cheese and pate with fresh baguette today, while cuddling 3 day old dd
Sadly I am not feeling elegant wearing normal clothes and jumping around just yet though!
I keep fantasising about this with 3 weeks until EDD!
Alcohol in general, instead of one glass
Fresh sushi
Boiled eggs (gone off them)
Sex
Sleeping on my left hand side without having a baby wriggling inside me because that's 'her' side
Sickness stopping
Holding her for the first time
Long Island Iced Teas.
That is all.
Oh 11 weeks and I can't wait,
Holding Harry for the first time and seeing my DP with his son, and all the fun to come.
Fresh Ground coffee (the bean machine looks oh so lonely)
A Glass of bubbles
Sushi
Being able to bend
Being able to wear heels once again
Being able to wear all my beautiful Coast dressess walking along the prom with Harry in his pram.
xx
As much Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc as I can pour down my neck
Sushi
Wearing shoes with laces (34 weeks only wearing slip ons - too much effort to bend over to tie)
Very strong coffee
Walking quickly and in a straight line rather than waddling everywhere
I could go on...
I am now imagining all you drunken new Mums staggering about with your prams.
Hic!
can't wait to hold baby and see my DH hold him/her.
no more heartburn
no more feeling the pressure and needing the pee all the time
being able to sleep, whichever position I want
no more back ache
.... and the list goes on....
7 days to go and dh has promised me a nice rare fillett steak with a reeeeeeally big bottle of staropramen. Which I'm really looking forward to :-)
There's now else really as I've had the most unremarkable pregnancy going. Will miss my little wrigglett though
Lordylordylordlord!!!
I have just found out I am expecting second and <gulp> am in for all this!
First time round I didn't know what to expect so was nervous but had no concept of impending doom.
this time round I probably know what to expect so am more confident but have a sense of impending doom as I know what I'm in for (probably)
Last time the morning sickness was a trial but lasted only as long as it lasted, this time I am nervous expecting it so I'm having anticipation of it as well as the thing itself.
Ho Hum.
having said all that, I am all giddy with chufftyness.... and will be looking forward to my next glass of wine... in about a years time!
Sleeping in any position I damn well please (currently restricted to right side due to enormous bump/breathlessness/baby wriggling in such an alarming fashion I think I'm hurting it)
Being able to put shoes on without having to spread my legs far apart to do them up
Getting out the bath without grunting and splashing a lot
Being able to do up my coat
And most of all
Seeing my baby
On the other hand, things I will dislike about no longer being pregnant -
Sore fanjo
Leaky, heavy supersize breasts
The fact that I will have to go on a diet due to my huuuuge pregnancy overindulgence
8 weeks to go DC4
Strong Black Coffee
Sleeping on my stomach
Relinquishing my 19 month old daughter from 'picking stuff up off the floor duties' (oh the guilt) due to SPD.
Not looking like I am trying to make a fashion statement cause I can't tie my boot laces!
Not having to rely on DH to bring hoover/washing basket/other random heavyish items up and down the stairs when it 'suits' him!
Painted toenails
