Urgent Moby Wrap Question

Ok, I have a Moby Wrap. I also have a very newborn baby to go with it.

However, the Moby Instructions say to use for babies from 8lbs. My baby is only 6lb 12 oz. Does it mean I can't use my Moby yet??? It doesn't make sense to me as I've seen it advertised on the net for small or early babies.

Has anyone on here used their Moby with a newborn under 8lbs?

I've never noticed that before. My son was 7lb11oz at birth but dropped 10% and took wee while to regain and I used him in it.

I would imagine they're being overly cautious. I'd go for it but make sure he's positioned properly and you keep a good eye on him.

I would guess they are being overcautious too. Stretchy wraps are often used for much smaller preemies in hospitals etc.

Make sure you are following the TICKS guidelines on safe positioning and it shouldn't be a problem at all www.hippychick.com/uploadedfiles/CMS/content/File/TICKS_final.pdf

And congratulations on your very new baby!
