Hi,

New on here so hi!

I have recently done a test using a Sainsburys tester and the result is attached, there is definitely a faint blue line but my concern is that Iv'e heard these type of testers are not too accurate! very confused!

any help much appreciated

If a positive result is a blue cross then it looks positive to me!

Thanks, bit nervous as Iv'e read reports that Sainsbury's testers are prone to leaving evaporation lines that look like a positive, hope its not the case!!

thedevilisinthedetail:- thankyou, was it a Sainsbury's or similar blue tester that you used?

I think evap lines tend to be more grey than blue - try again with a different test in a day or two just to make sure.

Congratulations!

Ps do a clear blue digital tomorrow if you can get hold of one and put those nagging doubts to rest. There's nothing like having 'Pregnant' spelled out to you!!

yes will certainly be doing that! no doubting when the words are in front of you!!

I found the ones with the crosses to be the worst quality wise, but if a positive = a cross, then congrats :)

That looks very much like a positive to me, if you want more clarification tescos own brand give a nice reassuring line x

I hate to say this hun but looking at the pic I would say that is an evap. I had a similar line on a sainsbury test which was negative. The line must have the same shade of blue along the width of it. Your line is darker on the left which to me suggests evap. Sorry. Sad

FWIW these are the only tests I use now because from previous experience a faint line is a positive and it is almost impossible to get an evap. I will not use any other brand except maybe a clearblue digi but only after a positive result with these.

Did you do the same brand, or a different one? My 5 pregnancy tests sat in the kitchen all look like this now, but when I first did them there was a solid line.

Did the line come up within the time limit? I had an evap line in december where it came up BFN and i left it on the side and later that day there was a faint line.

Agree completely with rightontime

I have used those tests for a couple of years now, and had two confirmed pregnancies on them. I'm 23 weeks at the minute, and got a faint line at what I now know was only 3 weeks.

They're so cheap I always have a stash! POAS addict Blush

Also agree with the other poster about tesco own brand. Good luck!

What brand was the latest test you did ? It's possible this test was less sensitive than the sainsburys test. Id get a first response as very reliable and not heard of too many problems with evap lines and are very sensitive. Best of luck x

Hi Marina

I sat and stared at my two Sainsbury's tests for hours!

Best advice I can give is definitely use a digital one - I did that two days ago and it finally gave me a definite positive!Phew!

Hotpotpie · 09/02/2012 11:12

I kept getting negative on the digital ones, found tescos own to be excellent, I didnt get a positive on the clear blue until I was 10 days after my period was due however tesco's said positive from the start it put me in a right spin for the first week
