Hiccups!

DC1 here @30wks. I keep getting what I'm assuming are hiccups. Little rhythmic tappings, rate of just over 1 a second tp being a little slower - 1 every 2-3 seconds. Can go on for anything up to 15mins. Interspersted with what feels like increadably cross bashings and wrigglings (can't blame the girl if it is hiccups). I'm only concerned as the faster stuff sometimes seems to fit with the rate of LOs heartbeat on the doppler (been hooked up in hospital a few times thanks to various things)...could this be her resting on her cord for a long time instead?
They just seem very rapid and go on for such a while - does this sound about right?

That's been my experience of baby hic cups. Definitely faster and last longer than when I hic cup. My baby doesn't seem to mind them though.... Doesn't wriggle about anywhere else whilst hic cupping.

My friend gave birth earlier this year and her baby did this a few times a day, sounds very similar to what you describe. She asked her mw about it who said it was due to the baby swallowing amniotic fluid and then hiccuping!! :)
