A good sprinkling of Bicarb of Soda on the damp spot will help it dry out and get rid of nasty smells - just hoover it off once the powder has dried.

Just rub a little bleach (diluted ) on the area then leave to air through and just use as normal mattress will be as good as new

Hi, just a question. My DD had an accident in bed last night. I was out last and DH had put DD to bed. In the process of removing nappies at night. DH had forgotten to place mattress protector underneath. As a result, mattress got wet quite a bit. What do I do? Obviously I can't wash it through and hence feel need to buy a new one. DH keeps saying just dry it and turn it over, but I feel that's unhygienic. He thinks I'm bring unreasonable to want to buy a new one. I'm annoyed at home too as he shouldn't fave forgotten the mattress protector. What do I do?
