He says 'wee' when I go to the loo, he is also telling me to go 'in there' or 'away' while he's having a poo. The potty has been sitting in the lounge since Christmas and I have told him that if he wants to then he can do wee/poo in there but he says no (he actually says no to everything so can't use that as a marker really!)

I think he's too young but I don't want to miss the opportunity of potty training if he is actually trying to communicate in his own funny way that he wants to go to the loo!

I changed his nappy this morning and while it was off he said 'poo' so I asked him if I should leave nappy off and if he wanted to use potty and he said no. I then asked if he wanted a nappy on and he said yes! I am very confused!

My DD is the same age and a few weeks ago was doing the same so we've just carried on suggesting the potty and asking her if she wants to use it in a no pressure do what you want sort of way.

For weeks the answer was no but randomly a couple of days ago she started sitting on it and tonight wanted to get undressed and take her nappy off to sit on the potty in the bathroom when i went to the loo. She talks about wee and poo but has yet to actually do anything in it though!

I'm hoping she will eventually so am just going to carry on and see what happens so it might be worth you carrying on with what you are doing.

It's so hard isn't it? Good luck!
