Some background:
This lovely young woman was our first au pair. She met her now husband during this time, and they married a year after she left our family. We have remained friends since. She is the daughter of a baptist preacher, and both she and her husband take part in youth ministry, he preaching to young offenders in prison. We have been invited to the Christening, or Dedication, of their first child. It is a very joyous occasion.

I have bought a lovely soft and cuddly Lamb. And a Childrens bible with the bible stories and pictures.

My question is, is this enough? Should I include a John Lewis gift voucher, or some such? What is the custom? I dont believe for a moment that they are expecting money or expensive gifts. But I dont want us to look like cheapos, and I dont know what convention is.

My children recieved bibles and religious books for their Baptisms. They all have a lovely message written in them.

Oh that is a good idea!
I have just ordered a personalized book mark to insert into the bible from Not on the highstreet. Smile
