Christianity & spiritualism/clairvoyance

My lovely gran died very recently & I would like to see a spiritualist/clairvoyant to see if she has a message for me.

The problem is that I am struggling with Christianity's view of spiritualism& clairvoyancy & just wondered what other peoples views were. I also want to know what the future holds. I have only felt like this since my grans death.

Has anyone else felt the same?

I have found the spiritualist church to be welcoming and so warm and caring. Try it then make up your mind.

Totally understand where you are coming from on this. I believe that some people do have the ability to foretell the future and speak to "spirits" (whatever your definition of spirits is). Acts 16 tells the story of a fortune teller, who is "cured" of her fortune telling by the casting out of a spirit.

Whilst I don't think all fortune tellers are possessed by a spirit, I don't think its sensible to rely too heavily on what is told to you by a spiritualist/clairvoyant. Some are no doubt genuine, some are confidence tricksters. But mainly FOR ME its about not relying on what a human is telling me, but seeking rather to put my trust in God.

They're all charletons hmm

My friend persuaded me to visit one after the death of my first dh. She was rubbish. Told me I was living with my bf and that I had a little girl. She nearly shit herself when I told her I was actually childless and widowed hmm

Save your money and enjoy the memories of your gran, but don't get into all this psychic stuff.

Thanks to those that have replied. I had a lovely dream of my gran last night telling me that she was fine. Not sure if it really is from her or just my subconscious telling me what I want to hear. Will probably leave it at that for now.
