Its a tom not neutered.
He is almost 2 years old and has been missing 5 days and we have had him over a year.
He has never strayed before ever, in fact you only have to open the back door and he is there almost immediately without even calling him.
He is a lovely cat much loved and my ds is very upset.
I have put leaflets through doors and stuck a few posters around but nothing.
Please do you think he will return.
Has anybody had a cat thats gone mssing for some time and still returned.

Yes, one of ours went missing for a week and just turned up at home again quite happily. I hope yours returns soon.

We had a cat who was missing for 3 months he turned up in a house owned by a vet nurse who scanned him and found his chip and called us. Amazing really

Our cat went missing and was found in a neighbour's garage. I heard her crying when I went out for a walk.
Might be worth asking neighbours to check outbuildings just in case?

he's probably off to sow his oats, and fight.
Get him neutered as soon as he comes home - you are irresponsible not to have done it sooner actually - he can get seriously injured by other cats when fighting.
here's hoping he makes it home.
