Sweet Vet

Took my ferrets to be vaccinated today. The vet always says "come on, sweet pea" to the animals. Today I realised that "sweet pea" is a way of deflecting from what he would really like to say "sweet sweet sweet... etc." He obviously (from other cues) adores animals. (Unless he's saying "sweet pee" and has an interest in diabetes.)
