Lewis's. Go by pronunciation - 'Lewis's' is what you'd say out loud.

I would choose Lewis' but it's not set in stone and is open to preference/argument.

Either is correct, so use whichever you prefer!

Lewis's looks messy.
(my surname ends in S so I have thought about this one)

To me, Lewis' looks neater but Lewis's looks more correct. Both are technically acceptable. Think Bridget Jones's Diary.

I'd go with Lewis's, as the s of Lewis is part of the name, not a plural "s". We did this as part of Plain English training at work and were taught that it is not set in stone and doesn't really matter, but Bridget Jones's Diary has both "s". Apparently the publishers did some market research to see which spelling their target market preferred.

i prefer Lewis's , but it is personal preference or "house style"

the department store was Lewis's.

i think Lewis' looks like the possessive plural of Lewi.

The name of the road in which I live finishes with an 's'. At one end of the road, the sign reads 's's' and at the other it ends 's'' Hmm
