Brackets and Full Stops?

I am scared to post here as I know my post will be peppered with all sorts of crimes BUT...

Where does the full stop go when the sentence ends with a section in brackets? Does it go inside the brackets or outside? or somewhere else entirely ?

Outside. (But if you have a complete sentence within brackets then it goes inside.) (If you're happy for a sentence to begin with 'But' wink.)
