Pregnant Again! I don't dislike babies, though I think very young ones rather disgusting!

Help!

I'm pregnant again. Not exactly my idea of fun.

An ugly baby is a very nasty object, and the prettiest is frightful when undressed.

Moral support required.

TIA.

Also, what do you think of the name Leopold?

congratualtions
??

TBMOM · 03/12/2009 21:57

Why did you bother in the first place then?

I'm sure there are plenty of women out there who would love to be in your position

DH decrees it.

Being pregnant is an occupational hazard of being a wife.

Sad
inveteratenamechanger · 03/12/2009 22:02

Are you a character in a Rachel Johnson novel?

TBMOM · 03/12/2009 22:02

Surely it's a joint decision this day and age?

I don't know you, don't quite get your OP, but so far you are not coming across very well. Care to elaborate?

BaronessBarbaraKingstanding · 03/12/2009 22:03

Right-I'm off to bed to read anna karenina for my book club, and for a more realistic and modern take on life.

Leopold a very nice name BTW.

TBMOM · 03/12/2009 22:04

Ah!

AlexandrinaVictoriaGuelph · 03/12/2009 22:05

I already have a Victoria, Alice, Edward, Alfred, Helena, Louise and Arthur.

I think it will work.

Men never think, at least seldom think, what a hard task it is for us women to go through this very often. God's will be done, and if He decrees that we are to have a great number of children why we must try to bring them up as useful and exemplary members of society

So let's continue my question from another thread.

Breast v wet-nurse?

AlexandrinaVictoriaGuelph · 03/12/2009 22:09

Breastfeeding is a horror.

Nice, but I think you need another girl to even things up a bit afterwards. Maybe a Beatrice?

AlexandrinaVictoriaGuelph · 03/12/2009 22:12

I asked my midwife if I could request Chloroform in place of gas and air and she was most unsupportive.

My labour, my choice.

Frightful woman.

OP posts:
AlexandrinaVictoriaGuelph · 03/12/2009 22:14

Ah yes, Beatrice is a lovely name. If I have a girl then yes Beatrice would be great.

Still won't help me bond with the little blighters though.

My eldest daughter is married now and i've begged her to wait a while before having children, i've even written her a heartfelt letter advising her not to make my mistakes all over again, but she will not listen.

Midwife?

Surely you want a distinguished doctor - one who never acually examines your royal personage but offers diagnosis from the othe side of the room, while looking downwards?

AlexandrinaVictoriaGuelph · 03/12/2009 22:17

well of course sassy.

i've asked in my birth plan that i labour on my side with my knees bent up. the doctor will not be allowed to touch me and will not see my face.

this is to preserve my dignity.

can't bear the thought of him seeing my royals as it is.

Has anyone else found that assassination attempts are more common during pregnancy. It's kind of freaking me out.

Goodnight.
