Says it all really! Just wondered what were the "in" things for toddlers.

Nothing special. She's 2, she likes wrapping paper. Couple of stocking fillers ie cheap trumpet thing, small jigsaws, flannel, hair ties, soap etc.

Sure others will spoil her rotten.

my Ds (3) is having a bike, a vtech computer thing and a few stocking fillers. like show of hands said he will be given plenty by others. i know my brother has bought him a wii and games to go with it and some family members are putting money in his account and another is giving us annual passes to the zoo.

Mine's 20 months; she's getting some Timmy Time merchandise, some puzzles and some stickle bricks. Can't bear to think what the grandparents will come up with mind you hmm

ohhhhhhhhhhhh stickle bricks - I had forgotten about them!

Chrysanthamum Fri 20-Nov-09 13:35:08

Yeah stickle bricks where do you get them?
My toddlers getting a Macca Pacca beanie, bath toys/puppet, bath beans and all kinds of stocking fillers that he needs. Also a cycling helmet.

my toddler twins are getting one of these each plus a few stocking fillers and some books. That sounds really mean, but the last three Christmasses (they're 3 and a bit) we've had such an enormous amount of stuff. We wrote down what we thought they might like, then have given anyone (family mostly) who asks what to get them an idea from the list.

stickle bricks are amazing, the best pressie ds1 ever had. they're the gift that keeps on giving in our house as ds plays with them almost every day for 2 years!
bit hmm about this year as he mentioned he would like santa to bring a toy cappucino machine. too north london for my liking by far. i think we spend a bit too much time at the cafe. grin

Stocking fillers for DD (she'll be 2.4 at Christmas) include a couple of books, a pipe, crayons and paints, pyjamas, hair ties, and some socks & tights. Main present from us is a blackboard/easel.

DD will get plenty from GPs and all her (childless) aunts!

StayFrosty Sat 21-Nov-09 13:43:10

a dolls' house and some stocking fillers (seen a nice bath toy in gltc, like a dressng up doll with interchangeable outfits that sticks on the side of the bath, that and a jigsaw and some colouring pens/stickers etc), and a nice outfit that costs a bit more than I'd normally spend on clothes for her. not too much really, imo, if they get too much they don't play with it, and her birthday is just round the corner in feb.

DD (3) getting a bike
DS (18mo) difficult as everything he likes we already have (eg trike, ride-ons etc) - so to my no doubt eternal regret I have bought him an electric drumkit [idiot]

Rest of my family are putting together to get them one of these each (different colours though).

Bum - link only takes you to the home page.
The Churchfield armchairs in the chairs section if anyone is that interested.

DS1 who will be 2.5yr at christmas is getting www.toysrus.co.uk/Toys-R-Us/Toys/Cars-and-Trains/Toy-Trains-and-Playsets/City-Train-Table-and-Railwa y-Set(0034455)this. he is thomas obsessed and will play with trains for hours on end.

DS2 who will be 1.4yrs is getting the box! no he is getting a talking Iggle Piggle, www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500001801&langId=-1&search Terms=CAR+TRANSPORTER&Submit=GO+%3Ethis plus a few stocking fillers. never thought of stickle bricks but thats a good idea.

Am struggling for DS2 as he will just play with DS1's toys so I suppose the train table is an investment.

he are in the position that our family just put money in the boys' accounts so the only presents they get are from us and two of my friends. We do tend to spoil them for that reason.

my 21 month old is getting peppa pig house and beach buggy, a small buggy and doll, some jigsaws and some colouring pens and books as she ruins older sisters regularly

ChilloHippi Sun 22-Nov-09 18:42:36

DS is 3 and he will be getting the ELC keyboard as a main thing. He'd like also the Wonderpets FlyBoat (will be asking grandparents) and I think he'd like a toy hoover (the Henry one to match Mummy's new one grin) to play with (will be asking other grandparents about that). Other than that he'll get a stocking from us with smaller bits in. We're hosting the BIG family (both sides eek!) Christmas this year so I am sure he will be inundated with gifts as he'll be the only child.

Nothing from us. Way, way, waaaay too much from their grandparents grin

Hello, first post and all that.

My son, who will be 15mo by Xmas, is getting the light and sound Ninkynonk from Father Christmas, and all the ITNG Megablocks stuff from us...
