my eight year old son found my vibrator tonight.
he asked dh what it was and he replied[stupid man] that it was a toy-then sent him away and hid it.he didn't ask any further questions.
how am i going to face him tomorrow? what do i say if he asks me anything?

feel so ashamed.

My 7 year ols found mine last week, i told him it was a toy and put it away he hasn't mentioned it since!

sleazymum · 14/05/2008 00:26

really?

am so worried he is going to be wondering what kind of toy etc.

do you really think it will be ok?
am going to have to get rid i think-can't risk it happening again.

he shouldn't have been in my room at that point anyway-he should have been in bed.

if he mentions it again, just distract him and change the subject, you're only embarrassed because you know what it is, he won't have a clue and it will be forgotten in seconds. If he really keeps on you could say it was a torch or something.

Don't want to make it worse but one day he will learn what a vibrator is and then have a horrible "penny dropping" moment when he remembers finding one in your room.

I recommend getting one of those tool boxes complete with a padlock on it for all your illicit toys. You can fit lots inside it

Don't worry about your son - he won't even remember it so probably won't have that "penny dropping" moment. If he asks again say "what toy" and pretend you don't remember.

Why is your dh a stupid man? Be fair to him he was put on the spot wasn't he.

sleazymum · 14/05/2008 21:55

yes-he was on the spot -you are right.

ds hasn't mentioned it today thank goodness so hopefully he's forgotten[prays to god]
