I feel like I am actually going to fucking lose it! Sorry really, really need a space to rant. I'm normally really composed DS is almost 3 and a complete fucking nightmare. He doesn't know how to talk,he shouts and shouts and is so bloody demanding. DD is 13 and I actually at times feel like I can not stand her. She was a lovely baby, toddler, child and pretty much as she hit high school and 13 she turned into a spaced out, vague, annoying, cheeky and also demading thing!! DH thinks cause I work part-time that makes me general dogs body in terms of him doing nothing in the house...in fairness he is working 7 days a week and has been for the past 7 weeks. I am just exhausted with my kids, I actually don't know who is worse, toddler or teenager and teenage one winds toddler one up then he shrieks even more! Should she not know better? Feel like I'm a shit mum for feeling like this and for not managing them better. I just want to quit my job, mortgage, kids, life and run away!! Phew rant over
thanks LadySybilbeChocolate have a had a read of your thread and will investigate this book. I work with children and young people with emotional and behavioural problems and for our younger children we use the incredible years and the older kids the triple p parenting strategy. It's all about labelling the childs behaviour, lot's of praise etc so I do know what I should be doing but with my own two just seem to be worn down with them. Your ds sounds very like my nearly 3 year old just more advanced! I have convinced myself that when ds turns 3 he will somehow be well behaved, contented, quiet and all round easier takes self off to deluded corner Good luck with your ds
