penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

well we've known our poastman for years and when neil died he was welling up every morning as he didn't want to hae to give me neils post

he's a really nice guy

and on day two of the avalanche of lovely things he asked if there was a birthday in the house

I explained that mumsnet is a fantastci parenting website with a chat forum that I had been on for years and lots and lots of my lovely friends from there were sending things to help out and show they care.

he was taken aback at the generosity and kindness smile

Trinity, has your post man said anything to you about all these parcels. I'm dying to know what he/your neighbours are making of it all.
Trinity - There should be a new phone with you by the end of the week - There was some delay with ebay (seller would only accept e-cheques) but it cleared on Monday so hopefully be with you soon.
I am the amazon sender, so glad you got them. Couldn't work out how to put a message in with it <dunce>. There's another wee thing in post toogrin xxx

darling Trinity, I wish I had something to send you but I have older boys (and am financially embarrassed.)
But this thread has made me so happy that there are so many fabulous Mnetters

Good vibes to you all

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]
For a shocked face, , type [shock]
For an angry face, , type [angry]
For an embarrassed face, , type [blush]
For a sad face, , type [sad] or :(
For an envious face, , type [envy]

For a no comment face, , type [biscuit]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
