I don't like it!

How do I stop them?

Background ---went on TA last night and noticed on right hand side something telling me which of my FB friends use TA and where to find their user name, reviews and forum posts etc.

So if any of my FB friends use TA they will see that I do too and my user name etc. But i don't want this to happen because...

sometimes I am researching surprise get aways, meals out etc for DH
I also my TA username on other sites where I want to be more discreet.

Please can you help... how do I untick the box that allows this to happen?

Thanks

You can remove the cache by Tools>Internet Options>Delete Cookies/Delete files in IE or in Chrome>Tools>Options>Clear Browsing data

But this is temporary as you will get them back if you login.

Hope this helps

You can stop this.

> Go to Privacy settings
> Select "edit" for "Instant Personalization"
> Ignore the video which (I guess - I didn't watch it) probably tries to sell yet another abuse of privacy feature to you as a great idea
> Untick the box which says "Enable instant personalization on partner websites."

While you're there have a look at the other privacy settings. I suggest you set them to custom and then set them at a level you feel comfortable with.

More and more sites that use your one e-mail address are linking. I don't like it either. I have begun using different email addresses for facebook, youtube, pinterest and so on. It is a bit of a pain, but is quite easy to make a new g-mail account and have the messages all forwarded to one account.
