Nursery recommendations for Falmouth Cornwall

Hey all (waves)

I'll be moving to Falmouth in the next few months (hopefully if our house sale goes smoothly). I have a 2 year old ds who I will need to put into nursery when we relocate. Have any of the Falmouth mums/dads out there have any thoughts on which day nurseries have a good reputation?

My ds is currently at nursery here pt, its an absolutely brilliant nursery and he loves it. I am hoping to put him in a nursery in falmouth ft, we will be located in the Boslowick road area so it would be great to be able to walk to a nursery instead of driving (I'm still learning, hoping to be passed by the time I'm there).
I know I need to see the nurseries for myself to get a feel, but I just wanted to know if there are any, that as locals you would highly recommend.

My daughter goes to First Friends, it's a lovely small nursery. I actually don't know the name of the road as I'm a newcomer too!

Give the family information service a ring. They can do a childcare check for you if you give them the postcode.

I found a link with the address: www.daynurseries.co.uk/daynursery.cfm/searchazref/33111

Well it's been great so far, a lot of relatives / friend have been here so I still haven't been able to settle in. My DS is going to Penryn Infant from Monday and I'm actually felling a bit sad she's leaving First Friends.

People here are super friendly! We can meet when you move to Falmouth (there's going to be a new lady in Penryn around October).

Thanks snozzle, I've just had a quick look at the website, I'll certainly be doing some further investigations into it all.
I'm just hoping to find something as good as the nursery my ds is in now. The staff are amazing and my ds loves it there. They don't even advertise as demand is high for places there. We had recommendations from my dp's friends about how good it was and how their children loved it. I suppose I was hoping that the good folks of Falmouth might have a few recommendations. But yeah, ill still want to see them for myself

Chariminto, that's great thank you! I've looked at the location of First Friends on google maps and put in a quick route from the house we are hoping to secure and the nursery...its about half an hour walk which isn't too bad. I can always get a bus if I don't want to walk, at least its not too far.

Have you had a look at Happy Days?

My daughter attended the one at Summercourt and absolutely loved it. She was only there for a few months (first day at school today), after becoming really unsettled at the local pre-school.

We are relative newcomers too, good luck with your move.
