i am very sorry to mention dc on the cool music thread but how do you get them to listen to good music. very little of the music I own is suitable as contains very many very nasty swear words but i don't want to give in to the whole pop princess thing so where is the middle line?

you can listen to it - but you can't say it! was my motto

my ds ( now 18) we used to listen to whitesnake together (double ) "i just wanna make love to you, feel your love sosweeet , i jus wanna make love to you, feel your body heeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaat.....in the still of the night. over here baby ner ner ner ner ner......

he was about 3 ish - and had his own wooden ( triple) tenis raquet as guitar.

We were listening to NIN in the car a couple of months ago and dd (4yo) started singing it so i though we had better start censoring a bit. I bought her her own cd player today but I also bought her pop party or something like that, after listening to it all afternoon I am thinking what have I done. I need my dds to be cool.

LOL!

My DC's have some cheesy taste, but on the whole aren't too bad.

The one song I had to censor was babyshambles - fuck forever, DD loved it but she sings 'freak foreeeeeeeeveerrrrrrrr' instead.

I thought this was going to be about older kids tbh.

Kids will listen to practically anything at a young age, just make sure you tell them what are swear words and they can't repeat it.

My two like the Fun Loving Crims...but I have to stand over the volume button for Scooby Snacks, this being the clearest use of the MF word!
We listen really diverse stuff. The only thing they've not really got on with was Bjork!
