We've been asked to find out how Mumsnetters feel about the shoes their children wear when they're not at school.
We're calling them 'everyday' shoes in this survey - by this we mean any shoes that they wear apart from proper school shoes. Of course your child may well have more than one pair of everyday shoes (e.g. trainers, boots, sandals, canvas shoes, pumps, wellies) but please think about all shoes that are not school shoes (except shoes/boots designed for specific sports eg football boots). If you have more than one child please think about one child when answering the survey as your responses may vary. You are welcome to complete the survey more than once responding for each child you have.
Please take a few minutes to complete this survey. It is open to all UK Mumsnetters with at least one child of school age.
Everyone who takes part and enters their details at the end will be entered into a prize draw to win £300 of Amazon vouchers.
Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

Tsk, tsk MNHQ, you surely don't mean gender do you for boy/ girl?
Done, but it was a bit of a boring survey so I have only done it once.
Done.
I said don't buy for school shoes for DS2 because his dad buys them.

Done. One of these days i might actually win something...
Done. I guess they want to prove that you have to have shoes fitted.
Which is difficult when child needs boats for size 11 feet
.
"Childrens' shoes" seem to stop at size 6/7. Both of my boys had feet bigger than that at primary school.

Mentally spending £300 Amazon vouchers already...

I wouldn't make mine wear them to do their homework but if they still had them on and were doing their homework, I wouldn't make them take them off.
Can I do the survey, ds is at nursery school 5 days a week in school uniform
MonsterBookOfTysons - yes
leningrad - that caused a flutter of emails between me and the gals in the know in editorial I can tell you!
Done - but a small grumble: when asking how long shoes last, there is no way of taking growth into account in the answer.
Sorry if I'm expressing this badly, but ds always outgrows his shoes, well before they need replacement due to wear'n'tear.....
First off, before I fill anything in... OMG what I could do with those vouchers and my kindle... I am all aquiver at the thought.
