As you may know Mumsnet have been working with PizzaExpress to help design the family restaurant of the future. The new Richmond restaurant is about to open and they have asked us to find some Mumsnetters and children aged 2-5 to come along and try out their new Play Dough Hour on Tuesday 19th October. Once the restauarant is officially open the normal sessions will run between 10 and 11am, but next week they will be running two sessions from 10-11am and 11-12. You don't have to stay for the whole session - and if you're really having fun you could stay for both
.
All they ask is that everyone who goes along offers feedback on Mumsnet about the session - just to check they are getting it right. Everyone who offers feedback will be entered into a prize draw to win £50 of PizzaExpress vouchers.
They say: "Play Dough is going to be one of our memorable events that we?re introducing every Tuesday. There will be drop in sessions where children will play, make shapes out of dough, while mum has cake and coffee. As shapes are being baked, kids will have a story read to them".
The Play Dough sessions are aimed at children aged between 2 and 5 - if you are in the area local-ish to Richmond PizzaExpress and would like to come along - please add your details here
PizzaExpress are happy to reimburse travel costs (up to £10 with receipts) and will provide mid morning snacks and/or lunch.
Thanks
MNHQ
PS Don't worry if you don't have a 2-5 year old, or can't make this date, there are going to be lots of other opportunities for Mumsnetters to try out the new restaurant, as well as special offers for PizzaExpress

I really love the idea, working on Tuesday so can't make it although hope to visit at some point when things are a little less hectic!

timing isn't great, most 3/4 year olds are at preschool in the mornings
Not those who do afternoons.

If an 18 month can come, would it be ok to bring a 14month old. I'd like to take DS1 who is 2.9 but need to bring DS2 as well.
Not fair!!!!
<<Stamps feet.>>
Too far to go - can we have one in North London please?!

Only day DD is at nursery all day otherwise would have joined in but I would have thought you don't want a 10 week old!

Booo. That sounds like something DS would love but he's at school (Reception)
Is it something they are offering only on weekdays? If there was a session (especially a trial session) on a weekend we'd be there...as would lots of others I expect
Yes Suzihala - that's fine - it's just the activities are aimed at approx 2-5 year olds.

Thanks AnnMN
It does just seem a leetle pointless to aim activities for a majority of an age group that won;t be there!

I'm a teacher and I work ft - the only reason I can bring 2 year old ds is because I'm on half term holiday that week. Ordinarily I wouldn't be able to... After 4 or weekend usually better. Sat or sun morning 10ish?
Hi
Heard back very promptly from them and they say please do say on here which times would be better for your preschoolers and they will try and add an extra session (once they are up and running) as they really want to find a time which suits. So please say on here and I will pass on your comments.
