Will Young - officially pop's nicest young man!

(36 Posts)
He was such a lovely guy - we had him talking about norks and pirate sex 10 seconds after he came into the room grin

Roll on the album launch party tomorrow!
I can confirm there were cheese and pineapple sticks and yes we consumed a few!! The Heat ladies did quite well with the dedications - he pulled a couple of their cards out so I'm not surprised they are twittering about him today.

So. Am. I. !!

Thanks to all three of you for the write ups - even the most cynical of press hacks - who haven't been the greatest supporters of Will in the past - have been twittering all day about the showcase having been beyond amazing. Including heatworld.com, complete with piccie of Will. Do mumsnetters read such lowbrow publications as Heat?

We hear there were little "bang" flags in the martinis and cheese and pineapple sticks (hmm)....bet you pinched a few...

I. Am. So. Jealous.
Echo what my fellow laydees have already said!! Fabulous night Will was amazing, he has a fantastic voice!!

Beautiful venue - agree about the canapes although Pizza Express came to the rescue later on (sadly without Will).

Great night feel very priviledged to have been there. Thank you Mumsnet, will remember it for a very long time. Also met 2 fantastic mumsnetters. What an experience!!!!!

Agree with Mars - his voice live is incredible, and he sings with real emotion. His dancing doesn't quite match up to the singing though, it has to be said grin

He was really funny, good banter with the audience, and just comes across as a really nice guy.

Fab fab night!
So... I looked fab. Hot pink dress with hot pink FMHs. Norky and McDreamy wore black and grey glitz. Lovely women. They looked amazing. Will wore black skinny trousers with zip details, much like the grey ones he wore on Monday.

He sang Evergreen, Who am I, Leave Right Now, Changes, Hopes and Fears.

We had to put our song choices with dedications into a pot. We put a dedication in to all the mumsnetters who know that a jaffa cake is not a biscuit but sadly it wasn't picked.

Lots of free wine and cocktails. The can a peas were tiny and sparse... sigh!

Will sang for about an hour and we were 15ft from him. Beautiful voice. He then mingled with the crowd for a brief while before his management hustled him away. Sadly we never got to speak to him, but what a wonderful night!

Marslady, you've probably guessed that you and your fellow jammy mumsnetters have several hundred Will fans camping out from their own home ready to hang onto your every word....we don't do executive summaries, we like every detail...amazing what can be picked up from twitter (was everyone continually on their phones last night did you see?grin) but we always need more...

Looking forward to the stories.
Wow oh wow oh wow!

Live set by Will. Lots of laughs etc.

Norky, McDreamy and I had the best time.

Looked fab, a bit drunk, off to bed. Stories tomorrow. It was wonderful! grin

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
