dtds are 17wo and I think i can finally tell them apart. People keep saying "oh aren't they alike - obviously you can tell them apart though!" I end up looking embarrased as I shrug and say actually no dh and I can't and we often guess wrong. dtd1 has a toenail painted so we know for sure.
At first they had a weight difference, but they've evened up and their personalities are pretty similar. dtd1 has a dimple on her head but a week later dtd2 (the smaller one) developed a dimple too!
Am I the only one who struggles to tell my own id twins apart (feel like I should know my own babies!)

you're not the only one!
One of the girls i befriended in the hospital can't tell her ID girls apart either - and like you has a toenail painted! They even have the exact same birthmark too.
My ID girls look completely different - there is a distinct difference in weight - i have one big twin with huge big chubby cheeks and one little twin!
