1st comment and I have to confess that I finished the book several weeks ago but am only just getting round to posting so this might not be too descriptive either.

I found this quite an easy read but it wasn't the most memorable, partly I think because I'm not sure I quite get the point of why the author wrote it. The medical condition struck me as turned and twisted around to try and create plot openings but mostly there seemed to be missed opportunities. The family relationships and the romantic ones alike just seemed less developed and rich than they could have been. The description of dealing with sudden illness, disability etc was also dealt with more superficially than it could have been. I couldn't decide if it was a human interest book, disability awareness, autobiographical or what really.

I did enjoy this book and found it very easy to read but have to confess it confused me in places (it does not take much!!)

I did find it very funny in places and I did read it v quickly (in one day) so that must be good!!!

I had previously read this book. I decided to try again and perhaps understand it better, as I recalled it being rather strange. Well I was just as confused this time round. All the relationships were stifled and the way A approaches everything felt false to me. That being said it was a simple, quick read.

This was an easy read in two sessions, though I must confess I skipped a lot of the descriptive and the back history when it went a bit waffley. I found it didn't disrupt the flow of the story.

I didn't understand all these men coming every day to visit when they only had seemingly peripheral involvement in her life previously. I certainly didn't seem a likely prospect for them.

Overall I liked it. The ending could have been more interesting. There was no set up for the final scene which would have made it something to wait to the end of the book for.

Enjoyed this one too, quite funny in parts and a quick read. Another one I'd never have found if not for the swap club!

Sorry but I could not get on with this at all, I did stick with it for quite a while.
The patient giving BJs to men from her hospital bed seemed to be a bit of an odd premise for a storyline - and the book was not very engaging!
The so-called humour was lost on me and all of the characters seemed too caricatured to be credible.
All in all, I just did not 'get' this one at all!

I actually really enjoyed this book and finished it very quickly. I did think that some of the characters were a bit odd, and her relationship with the 60-year old doctor definitely made me raise an eyebrow, but I didn't think it was totally off-the-wall.

I noticed from reading the back of the book that there's a sequel which I would definitely like to read - I really want to know what happens with her mother's terrible boyfriend!

I couldn't get on with this at all, found the sex scene at the beginning really off-putting and in fact I just decided not to finish it as I couldn't see where it was going or what the point was at all.

I would love to hear more from aStar as to why she selected this book?

I completely missed any humour in this book. It was odd, and even strange, but not funny.

I did finish it, but am not much clearer now what it was really about.

I suspect I too may be caught remembering parts of it in the future, and I am glad I read it....just a bit confused, too.
